Preview: Mutations Festival, Brighton

We might be coming to the end of the summer but the festival season is far from over and a new multi-venue event in Brighton will be keeping it kicking right up to the end of November.

With a total capacity of just 1,000 Mutations #0001 will be taking over Brighton’s intimate live spaces including Concorde 2, The Arch, Green Door Store and many more on 28th and 29th November and with a line-up already boasting noise pioneers Lightning Bolt, experimental house producer John Talabot, Texan singer-songwriter Josh T Pearson and alt-rock Joyzine faves Kagoule, it promises to be an eclectic affair.  There’ll also be pop-up record fairs, poster-art exhibitions, photography and more to keep you entertained between bands.

Born out of last year’s DRILL:BRIGHTON event, curated by post-punk legends Wire, Mutations aims to be a ‘creative mass of genre hybrids and expression, delivering some of the most inspiring, creative and interesting music the world has to offer’ and from the looks of what they have confirmed so far, it’s going to be all that and more.

Tier 1 weekend tickets go on sale on Wednesday 26th August priced at £50, rising to £55 when tier 2 tickets become available on Friday 28th August.  Click here to order.
