East Anglian synth-popsters Mega Emotion have been working flat out on a project titled #fromMEtoyou, which has seen them recording personal tracks for the first 50 people to buy their EP on cassette tape.
‘Laura’ is the first of these recordings to receive a full release; a bright, sparkling retro-electro pop charm leant a melancholic edge by the ethereal vocal harmonies. The band describe it as being “about love, lust and dreaming of a future together. It’s about the girl at school who never really knew how you felt, about unrequited love, and still burning inside. It’s forever remembering the ghosts of a moment and the warmth of a smile.”
