Video of the Day: Short People – You Know I’m Weird

Regular readers may spot a familiar face amongst the line-up of new Brighton odd-pop quintet Short People.  Previously a member of a host of Joyzine favourites including Bad for Lazarus, Clever Thing and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, frontman Rich Fownes joined us on The Joyzine Radio Show this week to talk about the new band (check out the podcast here).

However if you’re expecting more of the same frenetic psychobilly that marked out previous projects, you’re in for a surprise – Short People’s approach is a little more laid back, packed with hummable tunes, though no less strange and wonderful for it.

Their debut single, ‘You Know I’m Weird’ is out now and you can catch the band live at the following dates:

13th March – Brighton, The Prince Albert w/ Calva Louise
16th March – London, DIY Thursdays, The Engine Rooms
12th April – Brighton, Brighton Electric w LibraLibra
