Balcony Festival #3 – Streaming on Joyzine on Saturday 25th April in Aid of Refuge

Following the success of our first two online festivals, which saw exclusive sessions recorded by artists in lockdown raise more than £2,500 for NHS Charities Together and Musicians Against Homelessness, we’re delighted to announce the line-up for our third event which will stream on Joyzine and our partner blogs from 1pm on Saturday 25th April.

This time the festival will be raising money for Refuge, the UK’s largest single provider of specialist accommodation and support to women and children escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse. The show will be free to view via Joyzine and a number of established independent UK blogs who have collaborated to create this event. Viewers are encouraged to make a donation to the charity if they can afford to do so.

Named for the Italian musicians who sang from their windows during the early days of the lockdown, Balcony will be presented by Louise Schofield (BBC Sesh).  The festival will include exclusive live performances by bands and artists selected by Joyzine, Louderthanwar, LOUD WOMEN, God Is In The TV Zine., GigSlutz, The Zine UK, Benumu, Crocroland, Sonic Tonic, The Bechdel Sound Test and Quarantini – Live Virtual Bar.

Keep up to date with Balcony news & stage times here.

Art-Punk band – The Novus are their own breed of excitement.  The 3 lads, henchmen: Guardians of their own music. When he isn’t jumping round like a maniac he’s holding his haunting gaze over the crowd, almost indoctrinating them, spitting his lyrics like the gospel.
