SINGLE REVIEW: NARCISSUS FT. BECKI FISHWICK – CUTTIN’ THRU RED TAPE

Cuttin’ through red tape’ is the new release from Narcissus a Manchester 3-piece made up of Ben Guy, Vocals, Lee Mulvey, Guitar, Bass and Chris James, Beats & Programming. They have also called on the steel vocal cords of Becki Fishwick to pilot this big beat juggernaut of a track.

It opens like a sunny Sunday in Church before the stained glass is demolished by 1000 watts of guitar and an explosion of drums that could dislodge your skeleton from its flesh if you turn the volume up too loud. The Bass traverses octaves as a warning siren wailing over the bombastic guitar and drums that come at you like a storm force wind. Through this tempest the vocals are steady and true creating calm in the joyful cacophony they rise above. If the lockdown kitchen disco was flagging then ‘cuttin’ through red tape’ should hit you like a Jaeger bomb and get arms back in the air.

‘cuttin’ through red tape’ is available on all good streaming platforms where you can also hear the remix by Duke ’n’ Bass.
