Teri & the Electric Sunrise – Mirror Image

If you like your music with a big slab of retro blues/rock. If you’re a fan of Black Mountain, Maggie Bell or Hawkwind. If you like indulgent passages of improvised slide guitar and swathes of mind melding analogue synth washes. If you’ve ever hung out at midsummer mornings watching the sun rise over standing stones, and danced naked at festivals letting it all hang out, then maybe Teri & the Electric Sunrise is your bag.

Hailing from Lancashire way, and wearing their hippie credentials very much on their voluminous sleeves, Teri & the Electric Sunrise offer up their song “Mirror Sunrise” to the universe, replete with massive chunks of electric slide guitar solos and a sonic universe of sounds from the palette of Matt Panesh’s analogue dreams. Here we have a colourful, groove laden chug with musicians laying down their riffs and grooving along, hair (and pants) flowing in the breeze, nodding their heads along and vibing on what they are laying down, man. I can almost smell the patchouli.

Apparently live they go even further down the rabbit hole, delighting and mesmerising with their light shows and lasers. Catch them if you can. They are playing a show at the Horse & Bamboo in Rossendale on 28th February and the Seek Out music and arts festival in Lancashire in July
