Video of the Day: Perhaps Contraption – I Am I

Nine-piece art-punk marching band Perhaps Contraption have always had a fondness for experimentation in their videos – previous single ‘Perambulations‘ allowed the viewer to take on the role of director, switching camera angles at will as links appeared on screen.  The video for new track ‘I Am I’, the first to be taken from forthcoming album Mud Belief, due for release in November, is no different as the band again put you in control.  This time it’s a 360 degree extravaganza, in which you can drag the camera around to watch whichever part of the action you wish to.  It’s apparently filmed with projection mapping for virtual reality too, though we don’t have the technology to check.

Perhaps Contraption play Stockton Old Town alongside Ivan Campo on 29th and 30th August.
