Soccer Six, the music and football festival made famous in the nineties for matches between team Oasis and team Blur, is celebrating its 20th year. This year’s event takes place at Mile End Stadium on Sunday 6th September with a host of big names lacing up their boots alongside a host of the UK’s top up and coming rock and indie talent and Joyzine is getting involved with a team of our own!
Teams including the likes of The Darkness, The Enemy, XFM and Reverend & The Makers will face off in a six-a-side competition to crown this year’s Soccer Six champions and there’ll also be live music from a selection of established and new talent. We’ll be unveiling the members of Team Joyzine shortly, but be assured that it will feature the fleetest footed members of the finest indie talent out there (and Joyzine editor Paul Maps) .
