Track of the Day: Deux Furieuses – Kill Us

Perhaps the most aptly named band we’ve come across in 13 years of writing about music, Ros and Vas, the two members of Deux Furieuses, create some of the angriest industrial strength politicised punk around today.  Capturing the mood of frustration, bitterness and righteous fury directed at the political establishment (though thankfully none of the all-consuming apathy that too often pervades society these days), Deux Furieuses’ debut album Tracks of Wire is a call to arms to the disenfranchised that screams “we can and must do better than this” with every pounded drum and howl of distorted guitar.

The band headline the second day of this weekend’s ArtBeat festival at The Amersham Arms in New Cross.  Click here for full details of a splendid weekend of music that also features Joyzine faves Dedwardians, Mourning Birds, Rhiannon The Nightmare and Jean Genie’s Massive Hugs amongst many more.
