The newest signings to legendary indie imprint Domino Record Co., multi-national indie pop collective Superorganism’s new single ‘Something for Your M.I.N.D’ was created via a trans-Atlantic e-mail collaboration between New England based Japanese vocalist Orono and a group of seven musicians from around the world who had gathered in a house/DIY studio/Band HQ in Homerton, East London.
The result is a nostalgia-tinged technicolour cut & paste gem that mixes laid-back indie guitars with a hint of A Tribe Called Quest style early 90s hip hop vibes and is backed by a video that features a banana-shooting whale on a journey of self-discovery.
‘Something for Your M.I.N.D’ is out now. The band play the following UK dates this Autumn:
5th Oct – Village Underground, London
14th Oct – Band On The Wall, Manchester
2nd Nov – Beacons Metro, Leeds (with Jungle)
