Gigs of the Week: 04-10.01.19

January is usually a quiet time in the London gig calendar as people sleep off their new year’s hangover and huddle inside against the chill winds.  However there is one great January tradition that lights up the dark winter nights every year – The Winter Sprinter, which will be taking place at The Lexington from Thursday 8th – Friday 11th January.

Originally set up by the sadly defunct Fortuna Pop! Records, the Sprinter baton has been picked up by the combined forces of Fika, Where It’s At Is Where You Are and Gare Du Nord Records who will be putting on four days of indie-pop splendour to warm up your winter.  Full line-up details are below and further information, including how to get your hands on a ticket, can be found here.

Tuesday: Suggested Friends + Peaness + Whoa Melodic
Wednesday: Flowers + Firestations + Deerful
Thursday: Haiku Salut + Gwenifer Raymond + Joss Cope
Friday: Withered Hand + The Catenary Wires + Mikey Collins
