On TV, radio, online, down the pub, wherever you go it’s pretty much impossible to avoid Brexit, and quite naturally that’s filtered through to the nation’s musicians and the latest to join the Brexit canon are Liverpudlian duo Eyesore & The Jinx, whose jittering new single ‘On An Island’ links the UK’s departure from The EU to a toxic social media culture.
As you might expect from a track produced by Clinic’s Jonathan Hartley, it’s a clanging, twitching affair, sprinting from a bludgeoning single chord to spidery post-punk lines and shards of discord via scattershot vocal polemic.
‘On An Island’ is out now via Eggy Records.
