Joyzine favourites Hot Sauce Pony are gearing up for the release of their Steve Albini produced self-titled album in May, and we’ve got a sneaky peek of what they have in store for us with the premiere of new single ‘Crusher’, which is out next month via Brixton Hillbilly Records.
Mixing the grungey low end fuzz of recent singles ‘Burnt Ends’ and ‘What You Don’t Know’ and the indie pop sweetness of debut single ‘Fenced In’, it’s quite the heady concoction and has us salivating in anticipation of the LP.
Singer Caroline Gilchrist says “‘Crusher’ is basically about a person who has locked themselves away from the world, physically or metaphorically, and then one day decides to face their demons and “get back out there.” But ultimately, the blind faith she has is completely unfounded because the things she feared were real after all.”
