Single Review: Ho99o9 – Plexiglass

30th October 2019 saw the insanely brilliant Ho99o9 premiere their video to ‘Plexiglass’ which was a standout track off their amazing EP Cyber Warfare reviewed here.

The track produced by David Andrew Sitek (TV On The Radio) has an equally insane and claustrophobic video with the band featured within a TV screen with just their heads and shoulders showing.

Again, with the haunting and intimidating refrain of “when you pray for rain you get mud” and “I ran out of drugs” ringing in your ears, combined with the flickering, distorted visuals and the repetition of ‘Plexiglass’, this is as uncomfortable an oral and aural experience one could possibly have. I guess one positive is at 2:33, it’s mercifully short! Just brutal and uncompromising. What an incredible video, track and band.

Buy this EP now and see Ho99o9 live February 2020 supporting Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes:
