London promoters par excellence Kick Out The Jams rolled back into Camden for the 16th edition of their excellent Camden Mix-Up night, supporting Musicians Against Homelessness. This was their first show of 2020 and they kicked off the year with an opening set from post-punk four-piece UK Paint Horse, who were followed by Coventry indie outfit The Institutes and wild-eyed punks Saytr Play. The night was rounded off with a headline set by virtuosic alt-rockers Marisa & The Moths. Rupert Hitchcox was there to capture the action on camera.

For me, I was a younger. at the front of it all much enjoyed the music. But the institutes stood out for me. Really good songs couldn’t hear much but felt special. Will catch them again
