Hannah Lou Clark has always been one to mix the digital and analogue realms, and her new EP HLC Taped is a case in point. The release signalled a return to her roots with all of the songs recorded using the same basic four-track recording set up that she used for her earliest songs 15 years ago in a dusty loft in Fleet, Hampshire with production then added by Matty Moon. The result is an intimate collection of lo-fi tunes that draw you into a fuzzy embrace and Hannah has promised more four-track recordings to come in the future.
We’re delighted to bring you a first look at the video for the EP’s second track ‘Care’, a suitably stripped-back offering featuring Hannah performing the song against a pink backdrop strafed with disco lighting whilst holding ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’-style prompt cards.
HLTC Taped is available now as a digital download from hannahlouclark.bandcamp.com half of all proceeds will be donated to CALM.
