Live In Pictures: Saint Agnes, Haggard Cat + Venus Grrrls at The Garage, London

Joyzine faves Saint Agnes drew huge acclaim for their 2019 debut album Welcome to Silvertown, but as with so many bands the opportunity to build on that momentum was lost to the pandemic. They kept themselves occupied, and us enthralled, with their Quarantine Diaries series of cover versions, which showed their range of influences with their take on tracks from Nancy Sinatra to Nine Inch Nails (you can see the videos for all of the tracks here), while also working on a new mini-album, Vampire (available now via Bandcamp), the release which they are promoting on this tour.

It’s great to have their mix of filthy garage punk, hair shaking classic rock and gothic country back in a sweaty London venue, and tonight they are ably assisted by high energy heavy riff rockers Haggard Cat and Leeds alt-rockers Venus Grrrls. Joyzine’s Rupert Hitchcox was there to capture the night’s action in pictures.
