Album Premiere: A first listen to Hugs of The Sky’s new LP ‘Tangerine Boredom Delusion’

Belgian psych-rock supergroup Hugs of The Sky release their fourth LP, Tangerine Boredom Delusion tomorrow, and we’re delighted to bring you a first opportunity to hear it on Joyzine today.

Forged from a merger between previous bands Hugs and The Insect Soldiers of The Sky in 2018, the band is formed around brothers Boris (guitar, vocals) and Sigi (bass, vocals) Willems alongside drummer Seppe Camps. Instilled with a fiercely independent DIY ethos, Tangerine Boredom Delusion sees the trio working with an external matering engineer for the first time – Australian psych-scene mainstay Joe Carra, who has previously worked with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Pond and many more of our Aussie-psych favourites. Together they’ve captured the essence of the band into an album of laidback fuzzy garage tunes that know when to kick at just the right moment.

Tangerine Boredome Delusion is out on 22nd February
