SINGLE REVIEW: RACHAEL DADD – MOON SAILS

Sometimes a Bandcamp email drops into your inbox for an artist you follow, and on one listen you feel like throwing open your front door and proclaiming to anyone walking by that their day would be greatly improved by hearing it. Rachael Dadd’s new single ‘Moon Sails’ is such a track.

As soft as a rabbit’s ear and as relaxing as wild swimming on a summer’s evening, ‘Moon Sails’ is a gentle mingle of bubbling guitar, pliant bass notes like pulled toffee, fizzy 70s synth sounds and warm breezes of brass all supporting Rachael Dadd’s swoon of a voice wrapped in the lushest of subtle harmonies.

This is the first release from the album Kaleidoscope which is out on 14 October and as well as the usual digital and streaming options there is also a beautiful Dinked Edition.

Video directed, filmed and edited by Narna Hue. Filmed in Severn Beach
