EP Review: Harri Pick- Dangerous Nostalgia

Dangerous Nostalgia is the debut EP from Somerset born, London based 21 year old singer Harri Pick. I’ve been looking forward to hearing more since reviewing the single ‘Broke’ back in March.

The EP has three original tracks- ‘Broke’, second single ‘Frustrated’ and a song called ‘Big Tantrum Kids, and it also includes a demo version of ‘Broke’

Harri manages to blend rock and pop into a winning formula, with the refreshing honesty of her lyrics. ‘Broke’ which still strikes me as the stand out track on the EP is all about the reality of living in London, and Harri said this about the track ‘Frustrations’ :

Over the last few years, my generation has been constantly scrutinised by the media and politicians regarding people like me as ‘snowflakes’. I find it quite frustrating (haha) when I see this. In the end, though, you have to laugh at the hypocrisy of it all. They will be the first ones to complain about something.”

Harri Pick is drawing lots of attention already from the likes of outlets like BBC Introducing, and judging by this EP, I’m sure we will be hearing plenty more from this rising star.
