This years’ Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre culminates in an incredible performance by curator / creator Christine and the Queens.
In the guise of Red, they command the stage of the historic Festival Hall, surrounded by religious and spiritual imagery, Red exudes an intoxicating self-confidence.
Dressed in a ballgown skirt and angel wings or hyper-masculine and topless for most of the performance, and backed by a 3 piece band introduced as the Lords of Music, Red boldly decides to play their new triple album, Paranoia, Angels, True Love in full.
With soaring vocals, amazing choreography and a stunning light and laser show Red holds the audience in the palm of their gloved hand.
