Playing a sold out show on April 13th, Millie Manders and the Shut Up brought a high energy, thought provoking and, whilst covering heavy hitting topics throughout the evening, an all-round empowering and uplifting spirit to Katie Fitzgerald’s, Stourbridge.
From the staging to the contemporary lyricism, the whole event was a cutting statement on both current events and more deep-seated societal dissent, expertly cultivating an immersive sense of community amongst the diverse crowd. Hard-hitting tracks, including some from the as yet unreleased Wake Up, Shut Up, Work LP, paired with raw emotion and an electric stage presence made for a raucous yet thought-provoking evening which left those in attendance buzzing.
