A Certain Ratio (ACR) have wowed audiences with their recent shows so what better way to celebrate that, than with photographer Mat Coffey’s (Der Fotoautomat) first photo spread for Joyzine from the New Century gig in Manchester on 17 May.
We are blown away by how he has managed to capture the energy of ACR and Ellen Beth Abdi’s performances. The perfect tilt, his use of light and an ability to catch the drama of the moment is the lightning in the bottle we love when looking at gig photos.
The tour was to promote their recent album release It All Comes Down to This, and you can read Poppy Bristow’s excellent review of the album here.
