VIDEO PREMIERE: GOD SAVE THE KING – IN STEREO

Having been away for a decade Hereford & Worcester’s own (self-proclaimed) punk rock super mega heartthrobs God Save The King returned with March’s ‘Another Hero Is Dead’ which joined a proud rock tradition of ‘list songs’ (see also R.E.M. ‘End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)’, The Skids ‘TV Stars’). The band’s new single is ‘In Stereo’ a rambunctious sub-3-minute burst of gritty riffs, off kilter drums and plenty of shouty-sing-a-long joy.

God Save The King have given Joyzine readers a chance to hear and see the song ahead of it’s official release on 28 June. The video is a canal boat caper that is full of pastel colours, fish fighting, some wonky dance routines and is cut with pirate-bath-time-fun and gratuitous product placement for Matey bubble bath (at least they would have made a clean getaway with the sponsorship money).
