SINGLE REVIEW: SEX BEAT – CRACK

If you need some wake-up sounds to get you out of bed on a lazy Bank Holiday weekend then click below for a rocket-car-ride over a canyon courtesy of Berlin’s SEX BEAT. ‘Crack’ is a no frills, no fuss, razor blade of fuzz and frenzy. As the band say, “no studio. No producer. No safety net. Just four walls, blown-out amps, and zero compromise” a song about “everything that grates: broken politics, broken people, broken selves.”

Their DIY ethic is also used to great effect in the video as the band make the most of no budget by having people filming the song on phones in the tight rehearsal space so you get handheld wonkiness plus a dizzying number of shots within shots which adds to the out-of-control feel of the track.

‘Crack’ is taken from their forthcoming album of the same name coming out on 10 June on This Charming Man Records
