The world feels like it’s crumbling around us. The USA seems to have given itself free rein to decide which countries to attack, while at the same time hosting what must be one of the most corrupt World Cups in history. All the while preaching messages of love and unity during what surely ranks as one of the most cringe spectacles ever staged.
Yes, I’m talking about that World Cup half-time concert. I couldn’t bear to watch it. Instead, I washed my hair… and I don’t even have any.
But fear not, radarbase are here to lift the mood with their anthemic dance-pop. Beneath the dystopian lyrics, the South London duo have a knack for celebrating life’s simple pleasures, turning even the darkest observations into euphoric singalong anthems.
Despite only forming in late 2024 the outfit have already established themselves as headline performers. 2026 has been an exceptionally prolific year, with seven singles and three remixes released, alongside collaborations with acclaimed producers Paris Alexander, Riigs and AKA Muzik.
What sets radarbase apart is their deep appreciation of ’80s and ’90s culture, using references from the era’s films, music & video games, which feels both nostalgic and modern. In a musical landscape shaped by algorithms and annoying trends, it’s refreshing to find a band with a genuine identity, one that’s unafraid to take a different path.
The band headline The Old Dispensary in Camberwell on Thursday 30th July, rest assured, Justin Bieber, Coldplay & The Muppets will not be on the bill.
