SINGLE/VIDEO PREMIERE: LABELS – VOID

Some bands require a seat belt and protective clothing when you’re listening and based on LABELS new single ‘Void’ they are such a band. The opening drum roll barely prepares you for the onslaught of sound that is half a second away from pounding hard on your eardrums and knocking your balance into next week.

LABELS hail from Fort Worth, Texas and say their music is “Ty Segall and Black Flag colliding in a musical time-travel wreck”. ‘Void’ is a 3-act psych-rock opera that begins with the assault of fast chord changes and full-tilt drumming, like Motörhead on a rocket-sled, before the mid-section slows to a throbbing pulse with the mantra vocals chanting “now let me into the void” which keeps building and building on stop-start drum fills and swirling guitar riffs before the drums roll triggers an explosive race to the finish.

LABELS have given Joyzine readers the chance to see and hear the track ‘Void’ first. So, brace, brace, brace, push play, and get ready to have your molecules thrown into a mosh pit.

LABLES are Braden Burgan – guitar/vocals, Taylor Burgan – drums, Tyler Waller – lead vocals, and Xane Spencer – bass/vocals. ‘Voids’ is released through Austin’s Spaceflight Records.
