We like it when people we like like other people that we also like, so when we heard that two of our favourite independent record labels had got together to release the new album from Wakefield indie-pop aces The Spills, we were very happy indeed.
A joint release by Alcopop! Records and Philophobia Music, Collecting Dust is out on 25th September and is preceded by a lovely Pavement-flavoured slice of double A-side action in the form of ‘A Film and a Frame / Crash Landed Clouds’, which is out now on yet another of our favourite imprints Too Pure! Can any release have featured such a spectacular coming together of labels? We think not.
