Video of the Day: Pancho Morris – Strangetown USA

When it comes to music videos plenty of bands, even those with the budget to push things further, are quite content to set up a couple of cameras in a studio and mime through their track as live, perhaps with the odd costume change or some flashing lights to keep things interesting.  Not so Oakland-based Pancho Morris, who for his rant against the political climate in his home country assembled a troupe of more than 100 performance artists to create a dark surrealist crawl through the hedonistic underbelly of the United States packed with chainsaws, riots and fire dancers.

‘Strangetown USA’ more than lives up to its title, and is the first single to be taken from Morris’ forthcoming Great Again LP.
