‘I Want That Feeling’ is the second single from Rye Milligan, the singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist in Luna Bay, and best/friend drummer Ceri Bain. Whereas the previous single ‘Shiver’ had the beautiful simplicity of Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’ ‘I Want That Feeling’ is crisp pop from start to finish.
Milligan has a brusque clarity to his voice as it jumps around vocally like a game of snakes and ladders. There are straight lines, downward slides and ladder leaps into falsetto. The tune is a fast-flowing river through a staccato landscape and there is a delicious precision to the song writing which, like, ‘Shiver’, makes you head to the ‘Repeat’ button, all very apt considering it contains the lines:
“Boohoo I‘m addicted to you
I hear your record play over and over again
By now it’s my favourite tune
I hear your record play over and over“
‘I Want That Feeling is the second track to be released from forthcoming EP entitled i.

I Want That Feeling – Lyrics
Calling out to you
I’m calling out to you
Smooth you got me
Directly where you wanted
It’s a cruel misfortune
But I’m for it
Now I’ll never be the same
I sought a different name
I traveled space to get you
Your voice is fraying
and I’m just brave to say it
‘cos I’ve been waiting patient
Boohoo I‘m addicted to you
I hear your record play over and over again
By now it’s my favourite tune
I hear your record play over and over
I’ll never be the same
I sought a different name
I travelled space to get you
Your voice is fraying
and I’m just brave to say it
‘cos I’ve been waiting patient
Calling out to you
I’m calling out to you
Bruise my ego
But then you brush my thighs
And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t mind
Now I’ll never be the same
I sought a different name
I travelled space to get you
Your voice is fraying
and I’m just brave to say it
‘cos I’ve been waiting patient
Boohoo I‘m addicted to you
I hear your record play over and over again
By now it’s my favourite tune
I hear your record play over and over
Call me in the morning I already know
your song hit number one soon come platinum gold
The look across your face says you’re ready to go
I want that feeling, I want that feeling
So call me in the morning I already know
your song hit number one soon come platinum gold
The look across your face says you’re ready to go
I want that feeling, I want that feeling
So call me in the morning I already know
your song hit number one soon come platinum gold
The look across your face says you’re ready to go
I want that feeling, I want that feeling
So call me in the morning I already know
your song hit number one soon come platinum gold
The look across your face says you’re ready to go
I want that feeling, I want that feeling
