VIDEO PREMIERE – UNSAFE SPACE GARDEN – LIVE FROM MADISON SPACE GARDEN

Unsafe Space Garden are a Portuguese band who have been performing their “honest, humorous, eccentric and free-wheeling…intense theatrical shows” since 2019.

They mix tumbling, swirling psychedelia with a splash of prog, ska, and free jazz, and it’s as if Frank Zappa was appearing with Hawkwind as the house band on Sesame Street. They may be colourful as a meltdown in a Skittle factory and as joyful as playtime in a kindergarten but make no mistake USG can play. If you like to get high (on life or anything else) and watch SpongeBob then Unsafe Space Garden are waiting for your call.

Around Europe they have given a small number of blogs and sites the opportunity to premiere their new video/concert ‘Live From Madison Space Garden’. That includes the readers of Joyzine who can dive into their multi-coloured ball pit and splash about to the songs ‘Isn’t This Ideal?’, ‘Grown-Ups!’ and ‘Donde Está el Suelo?’ (tr. where is the ground).

You can find them playing at the FOCUS Wales 2024 (may 9-11th) on Saturday May 11th. Link to the event here.

The band are: Alexandra Saldanha, Nuno Duarte, Filipe Louro, José Vale, João Cardita, and Diogo Costa.
