VIDEO REVIEW: CHROMA – I WANNA BE WHERE YOU ARE

In light of Chroma’s support slot with the Foo Fighters at Old Trafford on 15 June we celebrate the loud and proud Welsh wonders by promoting the official video to ‘I Wanna Be Where You Are’. It’s one of the many HUGE tracks taken from their 2023 album Ask For Angela which I described in my review as a “glam-bam-thank-you-ma’am record of epic riffs and pounding beats; earth-shaking bass and one of the highest anthem counts of any record around.”

The combination of their social conscience with such monster tracks is a heady mix, and the video is as raw as the grit and glory of their music. Pints and crisps, playing darts and twilight beach dancing and drinking combined with the power of singer Katie Hall staring down the camera and then occasionally flashing a half smile all make me love Chroma all the more.

Chroma were born to make music that could destroy a small club or shake a stadium and I say play this track and the album as loud as you can.
