FESTIVAL PREVIEW: SUPERSONIC – BIRMINGHAM, UK

Supersonic started as a one day affair back in 2003 as an experimental music and arts festival, and now it’s ranked as one of the best experimental festivals in Europe by The Guardian Guide. Over twenty years on it brings one of its strongest line-ups to Birmingham with Friday acts including Gazelle Twin, UKAEA, Melt-Banana and “Welsh-language gothic rock power-coven” Tristwch y Fenywod. Saturday acts include Mc Yallah & Debmaster, Senyawa, Smote, and The Body & Dis Fig. Sunday features Daisy Rickman, ØXN, Mary Lattimore, and the incomparable Bonnie “Prince” Billy. Full line-up here.

There is also a collaboration with WEIRD WALK which will feature live sets, guest DJs and limited-edition merchandise and you can also enter a competition on the site to win weekend tickets and accommodation in the Staying Cool Rotunda. There will be two lucky winners and you have until 30 July to enter.
