LOUD WOMEN fest, the annual celebration of female and non-binary musicians (and one of our favourite festivals on the music calendar) returns to Rich Mix in Shoreditch this Saturday 7th September with yet another stunning line up drawn from six continents.
Organised by the LOUD WOMEN team also responsible for their excellent website, regular live shows and online community, the festival is an all-ages all-dayer with a stacked bill featuring 19 of the most exciting female and non-binary bands and artists around, including Joyzine faves Bugeye, Cherym and I, Doris, Indonesian rapper Yacko, New York Gloom Punks Desert Sharks and trans-inclusive women’s pop choir Lips Choir. LOUD WOMEN Founder Cassie Fox describes this years event as “Our most international line-up yet! It’s going to be a righteous and riotous global gathering of the most badass music makers. It’s all-ages too, so bring the kids and inspire the next generation of punks!”
Continuing the festival’s long-standing association with activism and campaigning the day’s events will also include speakers from Alliance for Choice (NI), Safe Gigs for Women, Level Up, Bloody Good Period, Ella’s, Red Rebel FM and Patsy Stephenson.
