Joy to the world! It’s the return of our favourite festive tradition, the Joyzine Advent Calendar, back for its 22nd consecutive edition, which as far as we’re aware makes it the longest running on the net.
As always, every track is completely free to download and we don’t require you to sign up for a mailing list (though you can if you want to) or hand over your personal data – it’s our way of saying thank you to everyone who’s visited the site during 2025 and to hopefully bring a few more listeners to some very deserving artists.

We’ve had some fantastic collaborations over the years with the likes of LOUD WOMEN, Sonic Tonic, Music Tourist Board, God Is In The TV and many, many more, and we’re delighted to announce a new partnership today! Lucida Records‘ Electroniq nights at Camden’s legendary venue The Dublin Castle has established themselves as one of the capital’s top audio-visual showcases for cutting edge electronic acts over the past few years, and in 2026 Joyzine will be adding our platform and more than two decades worth of experience of promoting new music into the mix.
To mark this new partnership, Electroniq house band Leg Puppy 2.0 (featuring our own Mr Laurence) have provided a track for today’s calendar window. ‘IdoNOTConsent’ is an exclusive preview from their forthcoming LP First World Problems and showcases their knack for satirising our digital culture through throbbing electronic music.

We caught up with Leg Puppy 2.0 for a festive q&a session:
Tell us a little bit about your track please
The track is called ‘IdoNOTConsent’. A satirical swipe at the relentless data grab and the illusion of consent when it comes to stealing personal information and data.
What have you been up to in 2025?
Leg Puppy 2.0 played two festivals in 2025 and held their residency at Electroniq at the Dublin Castle. Earlier in the year, they released their 11th album, Humanity 2.1RX, which received critical acclaim. Oh, they also released Music for the TikTok Generation – at 24 seconds, it’s the world’s shortest album ever made.
And what are your plans for next year?
2026 is set to be another huge year. Kicking off things at the Cable Festival in late Feb, followed by the album launch on March 27th at Electroniq. Which will also mark the 12th and final album.

What have been your musical highlights of the year from other bands/artists?
One of the true highlights has been the incredible talent we’ve seen at the Dublin Castle EMOM (Electronic Music Open Mic). Being part of a creative community has never felt more important.
Christmas: The most wonderful time of the year or a big bag of humbug?
And as for Shitmas, let’s call it what it is, one giant corporate money grab. Spending time with your loved ones is great and all, but you can do that any time without having it rammed down your throat!
