Electroniq showcase – Dublin Castle, London

Lucida Records have been running their all-electronic nights for a few years now, building a strong reputation as the go-to events for fans of alternative electronica. The Dublin Castle, a venue usually associated with guitar bands transforms into an audio-visual showcase for cutting edge electronic acts.

The September edition was a very special anniversary event, celebrating Ten years of the biggest band in the world called Leg Puppy.

Cabin Madid, an incredibly polished set from the duo at only their third ever show. Their infectious energy and joy filled the room as they completely owned the stage, fully in control of their world. These guys could be going places.

punkDISCO Doing what punkDISCO do best, the South East London duo are guilty as charged: creating some of the catchiest underground anthems of our times.

Resident house act Leg Puppy 2.0, featuring co-founder Claire Jones on vocals, surprised their army of fans with the return of the previously AWOL Hugo Bamboo, better known as the infamous Leg Puppy Clown. Arguably their best show to date, the crowd sang every track back and joined the band for some impromptu dancing. A brilliant performance all round.

radarbase, fresh from their debut at Worcester Festival, the Peckham duo tore through an impressive catalogue of bangers, opening with the hard hitting “The Last Time” and finishing with the “Something Beautiful”. Another excellent performance from a band whose sound blends ’90s New Order with early Depeche Mode.
