We’ve yet another day of double download delights for you on day five of The Joyzine Advent Calendar, this time from one of our new favourite indie labels.
Having been former little more than a year ago, Superfan 99 have set about carving themselves a niche in the ever crowded world of DIY record labels through their attention to detail, innovative formats and great choice in bands. Today, we have tracks from two of them as your free musical treat.
Label founder and splendid indie-pop craftsman in his own right Uncle Luc followed up his debut LP Humblebrag with a mini-album Stay Clean earlier this year, recorded live in under three hours, with a maximum of three takes per song in order to “trap the songs while they were as fresh as possible.”

Downer-pop solo artist Matt McKee released his debut album The Body You Ride Around In via Superfan at the end of October. Currently embarking on a tour of Germany and France, having already brought his reflective, melancholy songs to venues around the UK in recent weeks.
