Soccer SixFest Music & Football Festival: Team Joyzine is Back in the Game

Soccer SixFest, the festival of music and football, returns to Mile End Stadium in East London on Sunday 17th September, with a host of stars, both present and future, taking to the pitch to vie for the prestigious trophy, and Joyzine will be amongst them.

Previous festivals have seen the likes of Pulp, Blur, Oasis, The Prodigy and The Libertines don their boots.  Joyzine will be putting together a team of our favourite current artists, hoping to fare rather better than our record in our previous appearance which saw us rack up one draw and two losses as we crashed out in the first round.

Player/Manager and Joyzine editor Paul Maps is currently scouring the indie music transfer list to recruit players, and we’re delighted to announce our first singing: South London country-punk favourite Dexy will be taking his place between the sticks, hoping that his reflexes are as sharp as the tunes on recent album Tear It Down.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for news of further signings.  If you are a musician and would like to join the team, please email paul@joyzine.org
