Silverbacks were an unfamiliar name to us when the promo for their new single ‘Just In The Band’ pinged into our inbox, but they’ve instantly wheedled their way into our affections with their clanging art-punk and moody black and white multiple exposure video.
The Dublin based quintet certainly owe a debt to the New York bands of the earlier portion of this century, but the intertwining of three guitars that knit spiderwebs across the pulsing bassline and hi-hat heavy drumming drag this tune into territory that is very much their own.
