We’ve already spoken of the Joyzine ‘family’ in some of our other entries for this year’s calendar, but today’s entry goes one step further by featuring three actual blood relatives.
Many of you will know Mikey Georgeson as The Vessel, frontman of David Devant & His Spirit Wife (check out their recent Rock Mock Election Manifesto here), or from his work as Mister Solo, as a visual artist or with his band The Civilised Scene, and in his latest incarnation he is the father part of new band (acoustic guitar + vocals, 51) The Son Fathers, alongside his two sons Ralf (drums, 16) and Arthur (lead guitar, 19). The band have emerged from deepest darkest Sussex to unveil their first track of lo-fi psyche-pop ‘Collaborating with Control Freaks’, and we’re delighted to bring you both the video and a free download of the track in today’s calendar window.
