We were thrilled to have been asked to team up with Lucida Records for their excellent Electroniq night at legendary Camden venue The Dublin Castle, and with the next show coming up on the horizon we’ve got another exclusive track for you to download today.
It comes from Electroniq’s house band Leg Puppy 2.0, who will be launching their new album First World Problems at the show, where they’ll be joined on the line-up by Movement 81, punkdiSCO and nównøis.

Favourites on Joyzine since the days before they rebooted from their original incarnation, Leg Puppy 2.0 have been turning out biting post-modern social commentary in the form of menacing dystopian electronic sound collages for some time now, leading our own Paul F Cook to call them “George Orwell’s house band’ (see his recent review of recent single ‘Lanyard Man’).
The band will launch their new LP First World Problems at the show, with the album available exclusively on the night, before an official release on Bandcamp a few weeks later. To whet your appetite we have a track from the album for you to download absolutely free today: ‘Rate This, Rate That, Rate Bloody Everything’ is a throbbing, churn of harsh, buzzing electronics and detached voices that takes aim at the online world’s insistence that we mark everything we come into contact with. I’d give it 5 stars.
Electroniq takes place at Dublin Castle, Camden on Friday 27th March.
Tickets, priced at £11 (including booking fee), are available here
