Stars are pretty much everywhere around the festive period, whether they be perched atop trees or being followed by wise men. Today’s track comes from a band whose recent album heads for stars and beyond in search of some peace and quiet.
South coast visionaries The Indelicates can rarely be acused of thinking small. Having founded their own label, pioneered crowd funding and produced a musical titled David Koresh, Superstar their latest project may be their most ambitious yet.
Elevator Music is more than just a concept album (and a bloody good one at that), telling the story of the internet growing a consciousness, growing tired of humanity’s endless babble and deciding to take off into deepest space in search of silence, the album is accompanied by artwork, a book and a series of virtual reality videos, created for the Oculus Rift VR headset (but almost as good using the considerably more affordable Google Cardboard on your mobile phone), it’s a breathtaking accomplishment and we have one of our favourite tracks, ‘Breath’ for you to download absolutely free here.
