The Joyzine Advent Calendar #11: 24 Days of Free Music Downloads

With only a day to go until the general election, we’ve handed over the advent calendar to bands of a politcal bent for a few days, and following yesterday’s sweary tirades we’ve a less profane but equally fervent offering from anarcho-syndicalist London punks Real(s) for you today.

DSLB 7 MANIFESTO PART 1xxx (Medium)

The band have been distributing pages from their own D.S.L.B manifesto at gigs (page seven can be seen above), and they plan to publish the complete collection as a book that will be released as part of their debut album due for release via their own Music As Insurgent Art label in 2020.  They’ve also produced weekly party politcal broadcasts, the latest of which can be seen below.

You can catch Real(s) live at Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney on 11th January.

Make sure that you get out and vote on Thursday.  A list of candidates standing in your constituency can be found on the Electoral Commission website and you now have a soundtrack for your walk to the polling station.

All of the tracks on The Joyzine Advent Calendar are completely free to download without any need to sign up, and if that fills you with the spirit of giving, why not make a donation to our chosen charity Crisis to help with the excellent work they do supporting homeless people in Britain.

Check back every day until Christmas Eve for more free festive musical gifts or check the links below to catch up on what you may have missed so far.
