So this is it, the big day (no, not that one – you’ve still got almost two weeks to wait until Christmas) – the UK is going to the polls in what has been one of the most divisive and unpleasant elections of our lifetime so to give you a little spring in your step as you head out to undertake your democratic duty we’ve got another free track from one of our favourite politically-minded punk bands for you today.
Brighton trio Austerity released their debut LP Anarcho Punk Dance Party in November as a joint release through Every Man His Own Football and Quiet Backwater Records, and as an album it very much does what it says on the tin with twelve tracks to put a fire in your belly and a twinkle in your toes. Get your copy on Bandcamp now.
Today’s free download treat ‘Rinse & Repeat’ comes from the album and is guaranteed to start a pogo pit in the polling station.

Make sure that you get out and vote today. A list of candidates standing in your constituency can be found on the Electoral Commission website and you now have a soundtrack for your walk to the polling station.
All of the tracks on The Joyzine Advent Calendar are completely free to download without any need to sign up, and if that fills you with the spirit of giving, why not make a donation to our chosen charity Crisis to help with the excellent work they do supporting homeless people in Britain.
Check back every day until Christmas Eve for more free festive musical gifts or check the links below to catch up on what you may have missed so far.
