Advent Calendar #13 – 24 Days of Free Music Downloads

Today’s advent calendar treat comes from London quartet Fightmilk, who have been going from strength to strength in 2017.  Highlights have included the release of their Pity Party EP on legendary indie label Fierce Panda, a show with fellow Joyzine faves Desperate Journalist at The Dome and of course Nick’s appearance as part of Team Joyzine at the Soccer Six music & football festival.

They’ve provided us with a free download of ‘Some Boys’ for today’s calendar window.  Here’s Nick on the track:

‘Some Boys’ is a short, sharp shang-a-lang to the face that catalogues all of the awful types of guys you inevitably get paired off with through dating apps. We recorded this as the last song of a marathon ten-songs-in-a-weekend session last February after a trip to the pub for some much needed pep, and we had totally forgotten Death Cab For Cutie had a song of the same name when we wrote it. Ours is better though. If you’re a woman, this song is for you. If you’re a guy, this song is about you.
